Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in customs compliance, import/export, or related role.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, HTS classification, and trade compliance.
• Experience with CBP systems (ACE portal) and ABI filing preferred.
• Experience in the automotive industry and ERP systems (SAP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and import/export requirements.
• Perform and maintain accurate HTS classification, valuation, and country-of-origin determinations.
• Review and validate shipping documentation (invoices, packing lists, transport documents).
• Collaborate with customs brokers to ensure accurate and timely declarations.
• Manage import/export documentation, including USMCA certificates and origin documentation.
• Prepare and track filings within CBP systems (ACE portal).
• Support duty optimization strategies, including tariff programs and trade agreements.
• Conduct post-entry corrections and support compliance audits.
• Partner with supply chain, purchasing, and logistics teams on customs-related activities.
• Provide reporting and analysis to support business decisions and compliance initiatives.
• Support continuous improvement and ensure adherence to IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards.

This role is responsible for ensuring adherence to U.S. Customs regulations, managing documentation, and supporting cross-functional teams with duty optimization and compliance initiatives.
