Job summary

Fastenal Co. in Summerville, SC is seeking a Part-time Customer Supply Chain Support to assist the customer’s onsite operations and support daily supply chain tasks.

The role offers up to 28 hours per week with a shift pattern spanning MON-FRI, 7:00am–5:00pm, with potential flexible scheduling after onboarding and performance goals are met. This entry-level position focuses on building experience in customer relationship management and operations while supporting inventory, orders, and vendor

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain/Operations Management or equivalent industry experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
• Be comfortable in a sales-oriented environment
• Demonstrate the values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages weighing 25lbs-50lbs (up to 75lbs)
• Pass the required drug screen (US, Puerto Rico and Guam)

OVERVIEW:

Working as Part-time Customer Supply Chain Support, you will engage in a variety of activities to support the customer's supply chain in order to improve the performance of the onsite business. This is an entry level position where you will build a foundation of experience in customer relationship management and operations. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• o Responding and coordinating resources relative to customer requests

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• o 18 years of age or older, due to the nature of work
• o Possess or are working towards a degree in Supply Chain/Operations Management OR have equivalent industry experience and knowledge of the local market
• o Excellent written and oral communication skills
• o Proficient computer skills
• o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
• o Be comfortable in a sales-oriented environment

• o Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• o Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed
• o Possess an interest in career advancement
