About the Role
Catapult is seeking a field-oriented Customer Success Specialist (Tactics & Coaching – Soccer), based in the United States, to onboard, support and elevate professional soccer accounts across North America, including MLS, USL, NWSL and elite academies. The role bridges tactical data (Impect/packing data), video analysis workflows (Focus/MatchTracker), athlete performance tracking (Catapult wearables/GPS integration) and organisational communication (Catapult Hub). Working hand-in-hand with Business Development Managers, the specialist plays a commercial and strategic role in retaining existing clients, expanding product adoption and identifying revenue opportunities and service threats. The position suits someone passionate about soccer tactics, integrated video and wearables, and revenue-driven customer success.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver compelling, high-value presentations and technical workshops tailored for professional clubs, federations and high-level decision-makers, and represent Catapult as a speaker and subject matter expert at tactical roundtables, federation assemblies
- Industry conferences and major business events.
- Onboard and train professional soccer clubs on Catapult's integrated suite, including video analysis (Focus/MatchTracker), integrated wearable/GPS data, tactical metrics (Impect) and Catapult Hub for organisation-wide video and data sharing across technical staff, executive leadership and players.
- Support soccer clubs transitioning to Impect, Focus and Catapult video platforms, working alongside team analysts and performance staff to align analytical workflows with Impect data sets and Catapult wearable metrics to ensure seamless migration and rapid time-to-value.
- Act as a trusted strategic consultant for Performance Directors, Head Analysts and technical staff, evaluating account health, understanding high-level club decisions and protecting core revenue.
- Look beyond routine user tickets to identify revenue opportunities such as upsell and cross-sell, and to flag service threats or churn risks by reading executive and directional shifts within sports organisations.
- Travel extensively across North America to conduct hands-on training, provide match-day or pre-season support, facilitate tactical workshops and represent Catapult at key industry events and league meetings.
- Collect structured feedback from elite soccer analysts and coaches across video, GPS integration and Hub features, collaborating with Product Management to influence the tactical software roadmap.
- Establish a joint commercial cadence with the Business Development Manager and complete account audits across primary MLS and USL accounts to identify upsell paths and mitigate churn risks.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Proven applied background in soccer analysis: 3+ years of experience working within professional soccer environments (MLS, USL, NWSL or elite collegiate level) as a Video Analyst, Tactical Analyst or Performance Specialist.
- Exceptional public speaking and content creation skills, with proven ability to create value-driven, professional presentation decks and deliver engaging keynote speeches or workshops to executive audiences, federations, large industry groups or intimate club boardrooms.
- Integrated software and tactical data proficiency: direct experience with professional video analysis software (Focus, MatchTracker, Hudl Sportscode or similar), exposure to advanced tactical data platforms (Impect, StatsBomb, Opta or similar)
- And familiarity with integrated video plus GPS/wearables workflows and organisation sharing platforms (Catapult Hub or similar).
- Commercial acumen and strategic awareness, with the ability to distinguish technical user feedback from commercial opportunities (upsell, cross-sell) and account risks (churn threats, executive decision shifts).
- Established industry network: strong existing professional relationships with technical, tactical, video and performance staff across MLS and USL organisations.
- High travel availability and flexibility: willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 50%+ of time) across the US and North America, including weekend travel aligned with match-day schedules.
- Strong communication and consultative mindset, with exceptional ability to translate complex tactical data models, video integration and physical data into actionable insights for Head Coaches, Analysts and Sporting Directors.
