RevsUp represents a privately-held Patent Prosecution SaaS company that has been operating since 2013 and serves more than 95 law firms, including 7 of the 10 largest patent law firms.

This 52-employee, PE-funded firm, which is growing its workforce by 50% after receiving a significant capital infusion, is seeking a Customer Success Representative to manage a mixture of law firms and enterprise customers. You will identify use cases and product expansion with Fortune 5000 companies that file 100+ patent applications per year (think pharma, tech, manufacturing, energy), and patent-focused law firms. This is a work-from-home role, but you must live in a preferred metro area.

Our client is a provider of USPTO patent data analytics software and workflow tools that increase law firm and in-house counsel productivity while reducing error rates.

Its platform delivers ROI to a growing roster of clients in all segments of patent prosecution, including technology, software/AI, semiconductors, chemical engineering, and biology.

Role

* Individual contributor role, working from your home office.

* $60 to $80+ OTE, commensurate with previous revenue performance. 85% paid as a base salary. However there are accelerators offered if you outperform goals.

* Any experience, connection or interest in law firms or legal software is helpful but not required.

* Previous Sales experience/mindset preferred. “We’re looking for someone that started in sales, loves the thrill of the exploratory phase of uncovering needs, but would rather not do contracting, legal, integration scoping, and negotiating with the pressure of a quota.”

Official Job Description

FORTUNE 1000 companies and innovative law firms rely on our patent analytics and workflow automation solutions to improve prosecution outcomes, cut costs, and streamline the most tedious tasks associated with obtaining a patent. In 2024, we closed on a major investment from private equity firm MBM Capital, and we are deploying these funds to scale our Go- To-Market organization and accelerate the development of our products.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Sales organization as an Account Executive (AE).

Responsibilities:

  • Manage prospects from lead to close in an assigned book of business
  • Be a trusted advisor who can lead a buyer through the sales process and provide an excellent customer experience
  • Accurately forecast and manage a pipeline effectively
  • Collaborate with the Product and Engineering teams to communicate the evolving software needs of our prospects
  • Clearly demonstrate our value proposition to key executive decision makers
  • Generate excitement about our solutions
  • Become an expert in our product and in the patent process as a whole
  • Develop strong rapport with prospects to create lasting relationships
  • Perform limited travel to conferences and on-site prospect visits
  • Consistently meet and/or exceed quota

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in B2B SaaS Sales
  • Proven track record of consistent quota attainment
  • Experience working with executive level contacts in enterprise accounts
  • Ability to generate your own pipeline from outbound prospecting and inbound leads
  • A self-starter who enjoys the fast pace of a high-growth startup environment
  • A critical thinker who is has strong attention to detail and is well-organized
  • Proficient at leading technical presentations
  • Strong ability to learn difficult subject matter and convey it simply to prospects
  • Tech savvy with proficiency using platforms such as Salesforce.com, Zoominfo, Excel, Powerpoint, and G-Suite
  • Experience with the patent industry or selling to lawyers a plus, but not required
  • Experience selling analytics-based software a plus, but not required
