Job summary

Google's gTech Professional Services is seeking a Customer Solutions Engineer in New York, NY. The role focuses on delivering foundational services and forward-looking ad solutions to top advertiser and publisher customers, partnering with regional teams, product groups, and specialists to scale solutions globally.

You will own solution lifecycles from discovery to launch, drive cross-functional collaboration, and help re-envision how gTech Ads goes to market across customer segments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience with client-side web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
  • 3 years of experience coding in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).

Responsibilities

  • Collect requirements, provide guidance, and best practices to apply to ad products and technologies.
  • Scope, design, and build a series of solutions and best practices at a global level to be reused by customers, sellers, and partners.
  • Leverage engineering skills to adapt existing bespoke ads solutions into globally scaled solutions.

Customer Solutions Engineer


Location: New York, NY, USA


Experience Level: Mid


Minimum qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 3 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).

  • 3 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).

  • Experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal/external partners or customers.


Preferred qualifications


  • Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.

  • Experience in an investigative role such as business intelligence, data analytics, or statistics.

  • Experience working with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).

  • Experience with cloud technologies such as architecting, developing, or maintaining cloud solutions in virtualized environments or cloud data engineering.

  • Experience using Machine Learning and building solutions.

  • Experience working with systems (e.g., Linux, Unix, Windows).

In this role, you will be focused on both solutioning and scaling at a global level, partnering with regional stakeholders, product teams, and specialists, and re-envisioning the way gTech Ads goes to market across customer segments. You will create a bold technical goal in the ads solutions space empowering customers and teams across the organization.


Individual Pay

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.


US Salary Range: $127,000 - $183,000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities


  • Collect requirements, provide guidance, and best practices to apply to ad products and technologies.

  • Scope, design, and build a series of solutions and best practices at a global level to be reused by customers, sellers, and partners.

  • Leverage engineering skills to adapt existing bespoke ads solutions created by regional teams into globally scaled solutions that can support thousands of customers.

  • Own solution life cycle from discovery to launch, managing maintenance bugs and feature requests, as well as deprecation for a portfolio of scaled solutions.
