Job summary

Ewing Outdoor Supply is seeking a hands-on operations teammate in San Leandro, CA. The role blends delivery, customer service, and warehouse tasks, ideal for someone who enjoys outdoor work and fast-paced team environments. Training is provided to set you up for success from day one.

Applicants should have a valid driver’s license, be able to lift 50–75 lbs, and demonstrate reliability and teamwork. A background in irrigation or landscape materials is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Delivery and transportation duties, including loading/unloading materials and safe local deliveries.
• Customer service and sales support, assisting customers and building relationships.
• Warehouse and yard operations, pulling, staging, and loading orders; maintaining organized space.
• Inventory management, receiving stock and participating in cycle counts.

This role provides a variety of activities—including customer service, warehouse operations, inventory support, local deliveries, and sales assistance—making it ideal for someone who enjoys being active, working both indoors and outdoors, and being part of a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Though preferred, this hands‑on, foundational role doesn’t require prior industry experience. We provide world‑class training to set you up for success from day one!

Requirements

This role supports the day-to-day operations in a fast-paced wholesale environment serving contractors and industry professionals. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Delivery and Transportation

• Load and unload materials using company delivery vehicles while following all safety protocols.
• Safely deliver customer materials in company delivery vehicles to local job sites, while providing world‑class customer service upon arrival.

Customer Service & Sales

• Greet customers, answer calls, field questions, and build customer relationships.
• Support customers in selecting landscape materials, outdoor supplies, and irrigation product recommendations.

Warehouse & Yard Operations

• Pull, stage, and load customer orders, including stone, soil, mulch, and hardscape materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized, well‑stocked, and welcoming warehouse and yard, while following all equipment and material‑handling safety standards.

Inventory Management

• Receive and stock deliveries and transfers.
• Assist with cycle counts and inventory accuracy checks.

Delivery and Transportation

• Load and unload materials using company delivery vehicles while following all safety protocols.

What We Are Looking For…
