Job summary

BFS Foods in Beckley, WV is seeking a Customer Service Representative to provide fast and friendly service to customers. The role requires reading, writing and speaking English, basic math for store forms, and the ability to stand for up to eight hours.

You will stock shelves, check IDs and prices, operate a computer, and work flexible shifts as directed by the General Manager. This position offers health benefits and opportunities for advancement, with both part-time and full-time options.

Qualifications

• Perform mathematical calculations when completing store forms.
• Lift, carry and push up to 50 pounds.
• Able to stand for up to eight hours.
• Learn and work on a computer.

Responsibilities

• Cooperate with and interact productively with fellow employees.
• Be able to read, understand, write, and communicate in the English language.
• Be able to perform mathematical calculations when completing store forms.
• Be able to check identification and pricing of merchandise.
• Be able to lift, carry and push up to 50 pounds, carry milk cartons, bag-in-the-box soft drink containers, etc.
• Be able to stock shelves and coolers.
• Be able to retrieve merchandise for customers.
• Be able to tolerate exposure to cleaning products and sanitizing solutions.
• Be able to clean all windows and change gas price signs.
• Be able to sweep and mop floors, dust shelves, remove and transport trash containers placing them in outside bin.
• Be able to clean the parking lot and grounds surrounding the store.
• Be able to enter and work in a cooler up to 45 minutes at a time, with temperatures of 36-40 degrees.
• Be able to enter and work in freezer up to 10 minutes at a time, at a temperature of 0 degrees.
• Have the ability to learn and work on a computer.
• Perform such similar, comparable, or related duties as may be required or assigned.
