Job summary

Public Storage is hiring for a customer-focused role that involves sales and service at multiple properties. The position offers flexible, full-time schedules between 9:30am and 6pm, with some weekend hours.

You will travel between locations using your own vehicle, inspect units, and assist customers with payments and storage needs. Successful candidates bring prior experience in service-based sales, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 35 pounds while working outdoors and indoors.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service oriented sales environments such as retail, food service or other service industries.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and own vehicle for travel between locations.
• Able to lift up to 35 pounds and perform outdoor/indoor tasks.
• Flexible, full-time schedules with some weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Assess customer storage needs and suggest packing and moving supplies.
• Perform daily storage unit inspections to confirm inventory and availability.
• Audit cash drawers and make bank deposits as part of daily operations.
• Assist customers with payments, reminders, and collections when required.

• Auditing cash drawers and making bank deposits are part of the daily business
• We help keep our customers current with payments and make reminder and collection calls when required

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to transport lift/move items weighing up to 35 pounds
• Our property managers should be able to walk in/around facilities spending up to 50% of their time in outdoor environments, including climbing stairs and opening large doors.
• Performing cleaning and daily maintenance tasks: including sweeping/mopping interior areas and maintain exterior grounds/curb appeal clean and free of debris.

Experience: Successful candidates come from a variety of customer service centered sales environments including retail, restaurant, fast food or other service-based companies.

Transportation: Our employees are required to have a valid driver’s license and utilize their own vehicle to travel between different work locations and/or while conducting other work-related business. (mileage reimbursement available)
