Qualifications

• Previous customer service or food service experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, customer-first attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
• Basic food handling knowledge; food handler certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner at the counter.
• Take and process customer orders accurately, both in-person and over the phone.
• Prepare fresh sandwiches, bagels, and other menu items to order.
• Slice, toast, and assemble ingredients following menu specifications and food safety standards.
• Handle cash register transactions and process payments efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace throughout the shift.
• Restock food prep stations and supplies as needed.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure fast, quality service during peak hours.

New York Bagel & Bialy Corporation is looking for an energetic and friendly Customer Service/Sandwich Maker to join our team in Lincolnwood, IL! Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner at the counter

• Prepare fresh sandwiches, bagels, and other menu items to order
• Slice, toast, and assemble ingredients following menu specifications and food safety standards
• Handle cash register transactions and process payments efficiently
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace throughout the shift
• Restock food prep stations and supplies as needed
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure fast, quality service during peak hours
• $17.00 per hour plus tips (negotiable based on experience)
