Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking Customer Service/Sales associates to deliver fast, friendly service by actively helping shoppers find what they need and guiding them through products for a complete project.

You will greet, qualify, recommend and close sales in your department, maintain shelves, keep areas clean and safe, and work with supervisors and teammates across departments to provide a positive shopping experience for every customer.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance.
• Learn about products using our tools, and provide information to customers in order to sell an entire project.
• Greet, qualify, recommend and close every customer in their department.
• Maintain in-stock condition of assigned areas, and ensure it is clean, shop-able, and safe.
• Follow safety policies, complete safety training, correct hazards or report conditions to the Manager on Duty, and work safely.
• Work with the Department Supervisor and other associates in their department as well as other departments.
• Assist customers across store departments such as Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing and Tool Rental.
