Job summary

Lendmark Financial Services is seeking a Loan Consultant I to deliver exceptional customer experience while presenting personal loan solutions. The role focuses on building a customer base through sales, loan extensions and merchant referrals within a branch environment.

The position offers an hourly wage of $20.00 to $22.00 plus a quarterly incentive program, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for growth as part of a fast-paced, team-oriented culture.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• 0-2 years consumer finance or related experience.
• Cash handling responsibilities and accuracy.
• Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Excel and Word.
• Customer service skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet, assist and solicit individuals entering the office or calling by phone.
• Receive and process credit and employment verifications, and record information.
• Process payments and loan distributions; make recommendations on approvals.
• Approve loans up to limits; complete closings and handle account activity.
• Prepare reports, documentation and file records.
• Operate cash drawer and process deposits; maintain balances and closing.
• Actively market branch products and services to individuals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Loan Consultant I provides exceptional customer experience while providing personal loan solutions. This position focuses on building a customer base through sales, loan extension and merchant referrals. Role success will be based on creation of customer experience, generation of business, compliance, attainment of monthly goals, and accuracy.

MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet, assist and solicit individuals entering the office and calling by phone.
• receive and process credit and employment verifications, and record information obtained.
• process payments, distributions, make recommendations regarding loan approvals.
• approve loans up to established lending limits, complete loan closings, handle account activities related to collection accounts, including phone calls and face to face communications with customers.
• Prepare reports, correspondences, transaction documentation, and record and file documentation.
• operate cash drawer, process bank deposits, maintain records and balances and closing of the branch.
• Actively market all branch products and services to individuals.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00 per hour as well as the specific Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience of the selected candidate. This position is eligible for Quarterly Incentive compensation based on individual and company performance guidelines.
