Job summary

Dynamic Metals is seeking a Customer Service Representative / Estimator to be the primary contact for customers and handle quotations for metal fabrication projects at our Stuart, Florida location. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in Customer Service and a strong background in estimating.

This role involves communicating with sales, production, and purchasing teams to ensure accurate pricing and customer satisfaction. Work hours are Monday to Friday, with periodic Saturday shifts.

Job description

As a Customer Service Representative / Estimator, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers while preparing detailed and accurate quotations for metal fabrication projects. You will work closely with customers, sales, production, and purchasing teams to ensure estimates are competitive, accurate, and aligned with customer expectations and production capabilities. This is an on-site position located at our facility in Stuart, Florida.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in person in a professional and timely manner.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
• Identify customer requirements and provide appropriate solutions based on project specifications.
• Communicate project updates, timelines, and order status throughout the production process.
• Resolve customer concerns promptly while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Estimating & Pricing

• Review customer drawings, specifications, and requests for quotation (RFQs).
• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for materials, labor, processing, and shipping costs.
• Analyze project requirements to determine feasibility, lead times, and production costs.
• Collaborate with production, purchasing, and sales teams to obtain pricing and technical information.
• Monitor material cost fluctuations and recommend pricing adjustments when necessary.
• Maintain estimation records and update quotation databases.

Administrative & Operational Support

• Enter and maintain customer information, quotes, orders, and communications within company systems.
• Assist in improving estimating processes, tools, and software for greater efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and customer requirements.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
• Support special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Customer Service, Estimating, Inside Sales, Project Coordination, or a related role.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred

• Experience in the metal fabrication, manufacturing, construction, or industrial industry.
• Knowledge of estimating software, ERP systems, or manufacturing-related systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Construction Management, or a related field.
