Job summary

Georgis Spine & Orthopaedics, located in Roswell, GA, seeks a detail-oriented AR Follow-up Specialist to join our billing team at the Roswell HQ. You will follow up on patient balances, contact patients, and pursue unresolved claims to collect payments, including setting up payment plans.

Requirements include strong verbal communication, problem-solving, and 2+ years of office experience. Medical billing certification and PI process knowledge are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on unresolved claims to collect payments from responsible parties.
• Make phone calls to check the status of cases.
• Identify why the payment has not been received from the payer.
• Take actions to resolve issues to obtain payment and/or close balances.
• Run credit card payments.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our billing team in our Roswell HQ office. As an AR follow-up Specialist, you will follow up on unresolved claims to collect payments.

Customer Service Representative Specialist Responsibilities:

• Follow up on patient balances as assigned; this will include contacting patients to collect on balances and/or setting up payment plans.
• Following up on unresolved claims to collect payments from any responsible parties.
• Make phone calls to check on the status of the cases.
• Identify why the payment has not been received from the payer.
• Take appropriate actions to resolve issues in a way that results in payment and/or complete closure of insurance balances
• Run credit card payments.
• Other duties as assigned or requested

Requirements:

• Excellent verbal communication skills are a must.

• 2+ years of Office experience in which problem-solving and research were major keys to success.

• Correctly identifying root causes to determine appropriate actions and outcomes
• Prior computer experience is required.
• Ability to completely and concisely summarize important details in account notes
• Medical billing certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of the PI process is a plus.
