Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our Grand Junction team. This on-site role supports passengers and crew, handles front desk tasks, and coordinates hospitality and transportation for travelers.

You will also assist with invoicing and basic ramp communications. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and prior customer service or dispatching experience is preferred.

What you can expect as a Customer Service Representative- Concierge at West Star:

Attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and a love of helping/greeting customers is what our customer service representative's thrive on. Each day you will be providing customer travel and customer amenity assistance, answering telephone calls, as well as radio communication with our line services regarding fuel loads needed for aircraft on the ramp.

You Will Be ESSENTIAL To Many FUNCTIONS Including

What You’ll Need To Bring With You
Your Education

High school diploma or equivalent.

Your Experience

Customer service experience or dispatching experience preferred.

Your Initiative

Self-motivated.
Set priorities and maintain a rapid pace.

Capable of working with minimal guidance.

Your Sense of Responsibility

Attend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments.
Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.
Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.
Must perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration and OSHA guidelines.
Follow all company rules and FAA regulations during performance of duties.
Maintain customer oriented work habits for oneself and the department.
Flexible work schedule.
Must be able to prioritize job duties and handle multiple tasks.
Must be accurate in data entry.

Other Particulars
Physical Requirements
  • Lift at least 20 lbs.
  • Sit at desk and computer for extended intervals.
  • Walking of short distances routinely, bending, squatting and sitting.
  • Routine or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands.
Mental Requirements
  • Understanding of regulations and guidelines.
  • Must be alert and aware of surroundings.
  • Work with others in a professional manner.
  • Work with new or upgraded computer systems.
  • Very good customer service skills.
Supervision

Will work under supervision of Customer Service Representative Supervisor.

Working Conditions

The majority of the work will be in the front desk area.
Work outside during aircraft taxiing may occur.
Varied positions in and around the front desk area.
Must work holidays.
Occasional overtime may be required.

  • Computer systems, personal computers operating with Windows, Word, WordPerfect, Excel, Access and others.
  • Multi-line telephone, FAX, photocopiers and calculators, Courtesy van.
Compensation & Benefit Information
Monday - Thursday 10:00AM - 8:00PM 10% Night Differential

The following information is disclosed according to state specific requirements. If the position applied to is not in a state with these requirements, the following information may not apply. The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between 18.50 - 22.00. Actual hourly rate will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience and performance. Additional compensation in the form of a shift differential will be provided if the employee is assigned to an alternate shift. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package. Other forms of compensation include a semi-annual discretionary bonus, 401(k) company match and employer contribution to a Health Savings Account (HSA).
