Job description

Liquid Process Equipment (“LPE”), is a fast-growing, value-added distributor of sanitary process equipment — think pumps and valves used in making milk, cheese, ice cream, chocolate, and more! We're proud to serve major Fortune 500 customers, and with our service and rebuild facility in Kaukauna, WI, we’re more than just a distributor — we’re a trusted partner in the process.

We're coming off our best year ever in 2024, and with continued growth ahead — including moving into a brand-new office building in Summer 2025. We're looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to manage day-to-day customer interactions, ensure smooth order processing, and support our inside and outside sales engineers.

Why This Role Right Now?
  • Customer Impact: Be the first voice our customers hear and a key part of their experience
  • High-Growth Environment: With 2024 being our best year ever and a brand-new office opening in 2025, you’ll be joining at the perfect moment to help us shape what comes next!
  • Trusted by Industry Leaders: Serve Fortune 500 food and beverage companies with quality
  • Career Growth: This role can be a launchpad to inside sales or operations
  • Culture of Trust: We’re family-owned and long-term focused. We reward results - not reports. Enjoy profit sharing, fast decision-making, and zero corporate bureaucracy.
  • Stability: We serve markets that people depend on in good times and bad – people eat and drink in all economic scenarios!
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Customer Interaction
    • Always maintain a positive and professional attitude toward customers.
    • Bring strong communication skills and a tenacious, solution-oriented attitude.
    • Act with a passion for action, always striving to serve the customer – even if it’s ‘not your job’
    • Answer incoming phone calls and route as required
    • Advise engineering/sales staff and management of any customer issue or vendor issues, working together to provide resolution
  • Order Processing
    • Monitor customer service email & forward new POs to inside sales staff for entry
    • Provide accurate, valid and complete customer support for all inquiries
    • Track and manage orders using our ERP system (Made to Manage), including:
      • Review all orders for accuracy (quantities, ship-to, bill-to, product codes, due date)
      • Send order acknowledgement to customer and any revisions thereafter
      • Maintain delivery status updates
      • Update ERP and Customer with any status changes
  • Vendor Coordination
    • Follow up with Vendors on purchase orders
    • Confirm vendor acknowledgements for accuracy
    • Expedite orders, as needed, to guarantee delivery dates are maintained
    • Detailed order entry and review
  • Administrative Support
    • Assist with coordination of daily shipping, including:
      • Receive in UPS and Freight shipments
      • Verify shipment for accuracy
      • Receive goods into ERP system
      • Set up daily outgoing shipments
      • Calculate inbound freight, as necessary
    • File all documents and order paperwork
    • Assist with maintaining Vendor and Customer data in business system
    • Provide backup support for team members and other duties, as assigned
Education and Experience Profile
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer proficiency with the ability to use Microsoft Office applications, including SharePoint, Word, Excel, and Visio.
  • Quick to learn and/or proficiency in ERP systems (Made to Manage)
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills
  • Assist with accounting functions, as required
  • Assist with maintaining office supplies
Candidate Attributes
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Team-oriented with a proactive mindset
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, growing company
  • Eagerness to learn and take ownership
