Job summary

U-Haul seeks a Customer Service Representative to be the friendly face assisting customers with rentals, equipment inspection, and product knowledge at our Henderson location. You will use U-Scan tech on smartphones to dispatch and manage inventory while supporting teams on the floor and at the counter.

The role emphasizes safety, basic vehicle handling, and educating customers about services. On-the-job training is provided, with opportunities to advance and participate in our bonus programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services.
• Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Inspect and clean equipment on the lot and check fluid levels.
• Educate customers about products and services and answer questions.
• Prepare rental invoices and process equipment returns.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Propane fill (certification offered upon employment).
• Forklift operation (certification offered upon employment).
• Other duties as assigned.
• Participate in U-Haul education through U-Haul University.

Customer Service Representative Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with U-Haul products and services.
• Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.

• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.

Customer Service Representative Minimum Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent

Work Environment

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts or machines, fumes or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.

Physical Demands

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of remaining stationary, moving around indoors and outdoors, positioning oneself to reach objects at varying heights and moving equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.
