Job summary

Richelieu Hardware Ltd is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our Birmingham, AL team on a full-time, onsite basis. You will answer customer calls, provide quotes, assist showroom visitors, and coordinate with outside sales to fulfill orders.

You will drive sales by following up on opportunities, researching product solutions for customers, and ensuring accurate order placement. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30–4:30. We are an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Related experience in a similar position.
• Knowledge of cabinetry, kitchen & bath or building materials is a plus.
• Developed customer service, problem-solving and project-management skills.
• Team-oriented, shows initiative and creativity.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; Excel, Word, Outlook daily.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls from customers placing orders and provide sales quotes.
• Work closely with outside sales reps on orders and quotes.
• Assist walk-in customers in the showroom with questions and orders.
• Solicit new or complimentary sales for customers by phone or in person.
• Research product solutions to resolve field-project issues.

Full time: Monday through Friday (100% Onsite)

Key Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls from customers placing orders as well as provide sales quotes
• Work closely alongside outside sales representatives with customer orders and quotes
• Assist walk-in customers in the showroom with questions and order placement
• Solicit new or complimentary sales for customers via phone as well as face-to-face in the showroom
• Research product solutions for customers to solve field-project issues
• Hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 7:30 - 4:30

What We Are Looking For

• Related experience in a similar position
• Knowledge of Cabinetry, Kitchen & Bath or similar Building Materials
• Developed customer service, problem-solving, and project management skills
• Team-oriented, shows initiative
• Strong sense of drive and creativity
• AS400 experience preferred but not mandatory
• High School graduate, some college courses preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; must be able to effectively use Excel, Word, Outlook for daily responsibilities and tasks
