Job summary

Dollar General is looking for a store associate to support daily store operations at their location. You will unload trucks, stock, build displays, assist customers, and ensure merchandise is properly presented.

The role involves cash handling, operating a register, and helping with ordering when needed. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; stock merchandise in stock room or on the sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face merchandise on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Bail cardboard and take out trash; dust and mop store floors; clean restrooms and stockroom.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Greet customers.
• Operate cash register and flatbed scanner to itemize and total customer purchases; bag merchandise.
• Collect payment from customers and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using hand-held scanners, as needed.
• Clean front end of store and help set up sidewalk displays when necessary.
