Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Team Member in Bristol, TN to be a friendly, knowledgeable point of contact for customers. You will stock, merchandise displays, operate cash registers, and keep the store clean and organized to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include assisting at self-checkout, rotating stock, and following SOP guidelines while delivering excellent service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Basic mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to exceed the customer's expectations.
• Assist customers in self-checkout process at multiple register terminals.
• Operate cash register(s) and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payment and make change.
• Unpack, stock, restock, and rotate merchandise on shelves and build eye-catching displays.
• Clean the store and assist with setup sidewalk displays.
• Follow company policies and procedures as outlined in SOP and Employee Handbook.
