What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist customers with U-Haul products and services both inside and outside the center
- Utilize smartphone-based technology for managing rentals and inventory
- Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers, and inspect equipment for cleanliness and safety
- Answer customer inquiries and educate them about products and services
- Prepare rental invoices and process returned equipment
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moving equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and education
- Ability to work in a moderately hazardous environment and use safety gear as needed
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in customer service or a related field
- Familiarity with forklift operation (certification offered upon employment)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Experience using technology for inventory and rental management
- Strong communication skills and a passion for helping others
