What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist customers with U-Haul products and services both inside and outside the center
- Utilize smartphone-based U-Scan technology for managing rentals and inventory
- Perform equipment maintenance by cleaning and inspecting trucks and trailers
- Answer customer inquiries and provide education on products and services
- Prepare rental invoices and handle the return of rental equipment
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moving equipment weighing at least 50 lbs
- Willingness to use protective gear and adhere to safety precautions
- Availability to participate in ongoing training and certification programs
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in a customer service role
- Familiarity with equipment maintenance or logistics operations
- Certification in forklift operation or propane filling (provided upon employment)
- Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude towards customer service
- Ability to work effectively in both indoor and outdoor environments
