Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent sales service to customers.

• Pull products from floor or warehouse for customers.
• Tint and mix products per customer specifications.
• Load, transport, and deliver items safely and on time.
• Assist with loading/unloading items from vehicles.
• Maintain store vehicle and report maintenance needs.
• Follow assigned routes and time schedules.
• Comply with traffic laws and safety procedures while driving.
• Prepare reports related to deliveries.
• Operate equipment such as cars, trucks, and forklifts.

This position works closely with wholesale and retail customers to determine their needs, answer questions about Sherwin-Williams products, recommend solutions, and deliver products from Sherwin-Williams stores using company vans or pick‑up trucks. The role involves customer contact, including minors, access to cash and other payment methods, and personal information. A criminal‑history review is required to protect the safety of customers, staff, employees, vendors, contractors, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
• Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services.
• Process sales transactions accurately and in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Follow and achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
• Maintain precise work‑order files and related records.
• Pull appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse.
• Tint and mix products, as needed, to customer specifications.
• Load, transport, and deliver items to customers in a safe and timely manner.
• Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
• Maintain the store vehicle and alert the supervisor to repair and servicing needs.
• Adhere to assigned routes and follow time schedules.
• Comply with all laws, traffic regulations, and safety procedures when driving a vehicle.
• Prepare reports and other documents related to deliveries.
• Operate equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, and forklifts.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least twenty‑one (21) years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for an employment work visa now or in the future.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
• Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
• Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• If internal to Sherwin‑Williams, must have received at least a “meets expectations” (3) rating on the most recent performance appraisal.
• If internal to Sherwin‑Williams, must have completed all HR Cloud eLearning courses required for the current position.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• At least one (1) year of experience in a delivery, retail, or customer service position.
• Previous work experience selling paint and paint‑related products.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish.
