Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking a Customer Service Associate II to support daily store operations, assist customers, and ensure a positive shopping environment. You will be cross-trained to operate the cash register and handle front-end duties as needed, while contributing to receiving merchandise and stocking tasks.

The role requires strong customer service, organizational, and math skills, with the ability to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical duties daily.

Qualifications

• Retail or service industry experience preferred.
• Lift 30–50 lbs and frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.
• Follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• High level of integrity and basic math for cash accounting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily store operations from merchandising to customer support.
• Fully cross-trained to support cash register and front-end duties as needed.
• Receive merchandise, unload trucks, and process freight safely.
• Merchandise and stock as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and neatness throughout the store, including bathrooms.
• Ensure a safe, positive environment with professional interactions.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register; protect cash and assets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Your positive, friendly disposition and eagerness to get things done make you the right person for our Customer Service Associate II position.

Your Role at Dollar Tree

• assisting with the daily operations of your assigned store, from merchandising to supporting customers.
• fully cross-trained to support the cash register and able to switch to front-end duties as needed.
• Receiving merchandise, unloading trucks, and processing freight in a safe manner in accordance with productivity standards.
• Merchandising and stocking as needed.
• Assisting with cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable.
• Ensuring a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Managing sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintaining security of cash and protecting company assets.
• Other duties as assigned.

Your Skills and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.
• High level of integrity is required.
• Proficiency in basic math for cash accounting is required.
