Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is hiring a Customer Service Associate in Upland, CA. You will assist customers, handle transactions, and help keep the store stocked and clean, while maintaining a safe and friendly environment for customers and team members.

The role requires at least a high school diploma and prior customer service experience. You will lift up to 50 lbs and participate in unloading trucks and merchandise replenishment as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs.
• Frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting are required.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.

We're seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team and deliver a great shopping experience for every customer.

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable
• Other duties as assigned*

Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs.
