Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in San Fernando, CA is seeking a part-time store associate to welcome customers, answer questions, and help with merchandise. You will operate the cash register, process transactions, and maintain a safe, friendly, and neat store environment.

You will stock shelves, unload deliveries, and assist with inventory while upholding company standards and customer service excellence. This role offers part-time hours and opportunities to grow with the team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail or similar environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks including walking, standing, stocking.
• Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable
• Other duties as assigned*

Skills and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required
