Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of New Mexico LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle sales transactions, maintain cash security, stock shelves, and help unload trucks while upholding a clean, friendly store environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and prior customer service experience. The role supports a positive team culture with emphasis on safety, communication, and reliability in a retail

Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.

• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.

• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store and restock bathrooms and floors.

Job description

We’re seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team and deliver a great shopping experience for every customer.

Duties

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable
• Other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required
