Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Customer Service Associate in Leavenworth, Kansas to help customers, handle transactions, stock shelves, and keep the store safe and welcoming. You will assist with unloading trucks, restocking, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the store.

This role emphasizes friendly, professional interactions with customers and team members, with responsibilities that include cash handling, merchandise recovery, and adherence to store procedures in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in retail or similar environment is preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret store procedures.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help unloading trucks; stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including restrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required
