Overview

Dollar Tree Stores is hiring a Customer Service Associate I. We’re seeking a customer-focused team member to deliver a great shopping experience for every customer.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions at the assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment (highly preferred)
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
