Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Georgia LLC is seeking a part-time retail associate to assist customers, handle transactions, and keep the store clean and well-stocked. You will help unload trucks, restock shelves, and maintain a safe shopping environment.

Ideal candidates have prior customer service experience and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for daily operations and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred and retail experience valuated.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical store duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at assigned cash register.
• Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and unload trucks as needed.
• Ensure a safe, respectful, and friendly store environment.
• Maintain cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.

Job description

Duties

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable
• Other duties as assigned*

Skills and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required
