Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking a part-time cashier to greet customers, answer questions, and process sales at the register. You will help keep shelves stocked, receive merchandise, and assist with unloading trucks while maintaining a safe, friendly store environment.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, teamwork, and the ability to follow procedures. This is a part-time position located at our Douglassville, PA store, with opportunities to grow within the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent movement.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Process sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain store security and protect assets.
• Keep store stocked and recover merchandise.
• Unload trucks and stock replenish per productivity standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable store environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Duties

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable
• Other duties as assigned*

Skills and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required
