Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of South Dakota LLC is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate in Colorado to help deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle cash transactions, stock shelves, and maintain store cleanliness while upholding safety and professional conduct.

The role requires strong customer service, communication, and basic physical stamina to lift items and be on your feet. Training is provided and team support is emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail or service industry experience is preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must lift 30–50 lbs and stand/walk repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and respectful environment with friendly interactions.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, restrooms, floors, and trash areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

We’re seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team and deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable
• Other duties as assigned*

Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required
