Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a friendly shopping experience for customers at our store in New Jersey. You will assist shoppers, answer questions, and recommend products to meet their needs.

You will manage transactions at the register, stock and replenish merchandise, unload deliveries, maintain clean aisles and restrooms, and ensure a safe, respectful environment through professional customer interactions with teammates and leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and unload trucks; stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional interactions.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
