Primary Functions
- Execute order entry and verification across all sales channels and various platforms with a high level of accuracy and follow-through, including but not limited to solving problems in a thoughtful and timely manner
- Confirm orders (including products, pricing, quantities, and shipping/fulfillment logistics) with customer and internally with pertinent departments
- Maintain proactive and positive communication to ensure the highest level of customer service to new and existing customer accounts through inside sales support and account management activities, including order status
- First point of contact for customer inquiries and customer concerns via email, phone, and customer portal messaging
- Maintain accurate documentation related to customer accounts, inventory, compliance, and accounting records. When applicable, initiate necessary corrective actions/steps
- Maintain a knowledge base of the evolving JSC products and promos across channels
- Handle multiple, competing priorities including but not limited to customer inquiries, order changes, sample order requests, product returns and product shortage resolution
- Maintain accuracy across multiple direct-to-consumer (DTC) platforms by ensuring all records are up-to-date
- Provide supporting context or documents to reconcile compliance and/or accounting issues as requested
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills, Characteristics, and Core Competencies
- A high school graduate (or has a commensurate degree or certifications) with at least 1-2 years of Customer Service or Sales experience preferred
- Comfortable completing tasks on a computer, including email correspondences, maintaining spreadsheets, and familiarity with Google Suite
- Experience working in Quickbooks and/or Shopify is preferred
- Flexible and collaborative team player; comfortable working independently and under direct supervision
- Confident and articulate in verbal and written communications
- An adept multitasker with strong organizational skills
- Able to troubleshoot and problem-solve in a positive manner
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment

Essential Physical Functions
- Fully capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling 20-55 lbs (frequent) and 56-70 lbs (rarely)
- Good physical dexterity required; tasks and movements requiring fine motor skills are common
- Able to climb ladders and stairs, squat, kneel, reach overhead and walk on uneven surfaces
- Able to stand for several hours (position requires walking or standing for long periods, up to 100% of the shift/two hours at a time)
- Position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Typical Weekly Schedule
- Shift Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM
- Shift Length: 8 hours
- This full-time, non-exempt position works out of Jacobsen’s production facility in NE Portland, Oregon

Senior Customer Service Manager
Salary and Benefits
The starting hourly rate for this position ranges from $20-$25/hour. Benefits include paid time off, paid company holidays and employee discount, as well as eligibility for health/dental/vision benefits after 60 days and 401(k) after one year.
