GSP Transportation Inc. in North Charleston, SC is seeking a friendly Customer Service Agent to greet customers, process rental transactions, and offer optional service options. You will work from the counter and over the phone, following SOPs to ensure a smooth, memorable car rental experience.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory motor vehicle report.

Responsibilities

• Handle rental car transactions to accommodate customers
• Use effective sales techniques to encourage customers to utilize service options
• Receive telephone calls and handle or route customer-related issues
• Complete, review, and submit various reports to the supervisor or manager
• Maintain and update rental agreement files
• Enter and maintain information in location logs
• Complete car exchange requests in the computer system

Position Summary

The CSA greets customers and ensures a smooth car rental transaction by following all SOPs and work instructions. The CSA offers optional supplementary products, handles phone and counter inquiries, addresses customer concerns, and guides customers through the rental transaction.

Management Responsibilities

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. This position reports to the Counter Supervisor and Location Manager.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting, working on a computer, twisting, bending, and walking; getting in and out of vehicles, driving, and inspecting vehicles
