Job summary

The Law Firm of Randall & Johnson, a criminal law practice serving California and Utah, seeks an intake specialist to handle calls and emails, gather client details, perform initial screening, and guide potential clients through the intake process, supporting attorneys and case review. This full-time role (40 hours/week) combines 3 days in office with 2 remote days.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate preferred.
  • Mastery of the English and legal language, both written and spoken.
  • Desire to help people move forward from their pasts.
  • 1-5 years of experience in a fast-paced position which requires managing multiple tasks and providing polished writing products preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Initial contact: Answer calls and emails from potential clients, answer initial questions, and make them feel comfortable.
  • Information gathering: Collect essential client details and information about the legal issue, such as personal details, case specifics, and relevant documents.
  • Case evaluation: Complete initial screening to determine whether an attorney should review their record further.
  • Collect Payments: Collect payments from new clients, send contracts, and set up online client accounts.
  • Communication: Maintain communication with clients and leads, providing updates and addressing concerns as needed.
  • Flexible: Be flexible and able to assist the team with additional services as needed.

About the Position:

This role is an important part of our intake/sales team. Some of the responsibilities include handling the following:

  • Initial contact:Answer calls and emails from potential clients, answer initial questions, and make them feel comfortable.Volume of 40-50 leads per day.
  • Information gathering:Collect essential client details and information about the legal issue, such as personal details, case specifics, and relevant documents.
  • Case evaluation:Complete initial screening to determine whether an attorney should review their record further.
  • Collect Payments: Collect payments from new clients, send contracts, and set up online client accounts.
  • Communication:Maintain communication with clients and leads, providing updates and addressing concerns as needed.
  • Flexible: Be flexible and able to assist the team with additional services as needed
Hours: Full time (40 hours per week)
  • M-F - must be available from 8:00 am - 6:00 pm. You will be scheduled to work 8 hours per day.
  • Current schedule requires 3 days in office, with 2 days remote. This may adjust in the future or based upon a decision at the time of hiring based upon where you live.
Location Requirements:
  • You must live in one of the following areas: Utah County, Utah; Salt Lake County, Utah; Orange County, California; Los Angeles County, California; Riverside County, California; San Bernardino County, California; San Diego County, California or, potentially, within the State of Virginia. If you live in California, you should plan on commuting to Orange County regularly. If you live in Utah, you should plan on commuting to Utah County regularly. If you live in Virginia, it would be a fully remote position, although some travel would be required to either Utah or California.

Required Qualifications:
