Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a retail team member to stock, merchandise, and assist customers in a fast-paced store environment. You will unload trucks, set up displays, and ensure products are properly presented on the sales floor.

The role requires basic cash handling skills, ability to read plan-O-grams, and strong interpersonal communication. Prior experience with handheld scanners and IBM cash registers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; stock merchandise in stock room or on sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face merchandise on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Greet customers and operate cash register to total purchases.
• Collect payment and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.
