Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support outpatient prescription processing under the direction of a pharmacist.

Duties include filling orders, answering insurance questions, operating the pharmacy computer system and assisting customers at the window or by phone. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and PA licensure; national certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• PA Pharmacy Technician Licensure required; National certification preferred.
• Strong communication skills and data-entry ability.
• Ability to manage confidential information and provide courteous service.

Responsibilities

• Follows workflow procedures for day-to-day processing of medication orders.
• Fills medications from computer-generated labels.
• Answers phones and assists customers with insurance questions.
• Delivers or retrieves medications as directed by the pharmacist.
• Maintains inventory and assists with stocking and restocking medications.
