Job summary

Town Pump is looking for a motivated and outgoing Store Clerk to join our team. Town Pump is a growing company, with ever-increasing opportunities for career growth.

As a Store Clerk Team Member, you will be accountable for excellent customer service, cash handling and accounting, stocking, pricing, rotating, and displaying merchandise, housekeeping inside and outside of the store, store safety and store security, and deli food sales and cooking.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or store clerk duties.
• Ability to operate a cash register and process payments.
• Experience with stocking, merchandising and store cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and handle cash, pricing and display of merchandise.
• Operate computerized cash register, give correct change, process cards and checks, and bag items.
• Greet regular customers, answer calls, deter shoplifting and address customer complaints.
• Stock shelves, complete shift duties, maintain store cleanliness and safety, and supervise vendor check-in.
• Ensure deli area and other stations are clean, stocked, and functioning; perform duties as assigned by management.
