Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store associate to serve as the primary contact for customers, help set and maintain plan-of-grams, and stock merchandise to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction. You will work to protect company assets while supporting teamwork in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking and rotating products, assisting customers, and operating the cash register.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-grams.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to operate cash register and handle payments.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open, and unpack cartons; stock merchandise in stock room or on sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays and rotate stock on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise and maintain shelf presentation.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise and answer questions.
• Greet customers and operate the cash register to total purchases; bag merchandise and collect payment.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using hand-held scanners as needed.
• Keep store clean: dust, mop floors, clean restroom and stockroom.
