Job summary

Holiday Oil is hiring a Retail Sales Associate for our Salt Lake City store. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, stock merchandise, and keep the store clean and safe.

You will also help monitor fuel pumps and verify ages for restricted products while delivering friendly service. The role requires basic math, comfort with POS systems, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with electronic equipment, including cash registers and POS systems.
• Basic math skills and proficiency in using computers.
• Effective communication skills and a strong customer focus.
• Ability to collaborate with the team to manage workload and pace effectively.
• Willingness to learn about store processes, products, and services.
• Ability to remain composed in confrontational situations.
• Capability to work in a high-volume, sometimes high-pressure environment.
• Flexibility to work a schedule that includes Sunday through Saturday. Availability to open and close the store as needed.
• Must be able to work in cold environments, such as outdoor cold weather and indoor coolers.
• Must also be able to work in heat during the summer months to perform outdoor duties.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly manner.
• Accurately process transactions using the cash register and handle payments.
• Stock shelves and coolers with merchandise.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, including the sales floor, restrooms, and fuel pumps.
• Monitor fuel pumps and assist customers as needed.

• Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally.
