Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Customer Service oriented Sales Associate to assist shoppers with locating and purchasing items, operate the register, stock shelves, and maintain store cleanliness. You will support store operations to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting company assets.

The role requires teamwork, reliability, and a willingness to learn safety policies and planograms in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
Understanding of safety policies and practices.
Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides.
Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
Basic mathematical skills.
Ability to perform cash register functions.
Ability to stock merchandise.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service, greet and assist customers.
Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payment, and bag merchandise.
Follow company merchandise processes; unpack, stock, restock, and rotate merchandise and build displays.
Clean the store, take out trash, dust and mop floors, clean restrooms and receiving area, and help set up sidewalk displays.
