Responsibilities

• Serve the customers.
• Front and fill coolers.
• Issue money orders.
• Administer credit card transactions.
• Administer lotto/lottery transactions.
• Clean, front, and stock shelves.
• Clean and wash down parking lots.
• Clean and wash windows.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Carry out garbage.
• Keep coffee fresh (every 45 minutes).
• Be sure money is secured at all times.
• Keep register at or below $100.00 at all times.
• Document all refunds, void, and no sales by attaching corrected receipt.
• Must be able to complete shift report.
• Know how to check vendors in and out.
• Know how to sign for and receive gasoline deliveries.
• Keep walk-in cooler, restrooms, and back room clean and neat.
• Ring up all sales.
• Practice plus selling and provide prompt courteous service.
• Always maintain a clean and neat image (see dress code).
• Know and follow state laws for liquor/beer, cigarettes, and adult magazines.
• Control cash shortages.
• Know and follow procedures for manufacturer’s coupons.
• Know company policy and procedures for carrying out shoplifting and robbery preventive measures.
• Allow no one behind checkout counter or into the backroom without proper identification.
