Job summary

Cardenas Markets is seeking a Kitchen Clerk to deliver quality customer service in our retail kitchen environment. You will be a role model by upholding our core values, greet customers, help with displays, and ensure cases are fully stocked while maintaining cleanliness and food safety.

You will assist cooks, take orders in person and by phone, restock utensils and supplies, and operate kitchen equipment. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and meeting customer needs in a fast-paced store

Qualifications

• Valid Food Handlers Card.
• Customer Service and retail experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers to address questions or concerns in a friendly, service- oriented manner;
• Organize products in display case and tables while ensuring fully-stocked cases;
• Maintains standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, department conditions, and food safety;
• Assists the cooks with making specific dishes;
• Fills and re-stocks front counter utensils, water sanitizer, vegetables, and drinks;
• Work with various professional kitchen equipment, including heat sources, mixers, and blenders;
• Takes food orders in person and by telephone;
• All other duties as assigned.
