Job summary

Kroger is hiring a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger to create a positive shopping experience. You will bag groceries at checkout, assist customers and help load bags into cars when needed. You will keep shelves stocked, maintain clean aisles, and follow safety and food-handling guidelines.

Strong customer service and communication skills are required; retail experience is helpful but not necessary. Flexible full- and part-time scheduling may apply, with opportunities for growth within the Kroger

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers.
• Aim for at least five items per bag and avoid damage.
• Bag groceries using reusable, plastic, or paper bags.
• Assist customers by loading bags into their car when needed.
• Perform shelf conditioning and inform customers of specials.
• Return merchandise to shelves and gather bascarts.
• Clean spills and pick up trash in-store and parking lot.
• Ensure store areas are clean and safe at all times.
• Follow food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Provide welcoming service and answer product questions.
