Job summary

United Refrigeration Inc. seeks a reliable Delivery/Warehouse Associate to support customers with prompt, courteous service and accurate order fulfillment.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, loading/unloading, stock handling, and performing clerical tasks using a computer. Occasional deliveries and after-hours coverage may be required, with emphasis on safety and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of heating, air conditioning and refrigeration basics.
• Willingness to learn United’s product offerings and the industry.
• Attend in-house training and trade seminars.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and courteously by name.
• Answer telephones promptly and courteously identifying yourself and the company.
• Provide professional and knowledgeable assistance to customers.
• Provide accurate and timely execution of customer’s orders, requests and other services.
• Enhance customer orders by asking if other products are needed that were not specifically requested.
• Use computer to do invoicing, credits, returns, reclaim, product procurement/replenishment, cash box reconciliation etc.
• Load and unload company, customer and outside carrier vehicles using proper equipment.
• Break down and put away stock.
• Regular and punctual attendance.
• Participate in the After Hours Emergency Call rotation to assist customers when the branch is closed.
• Follow-through/follow-up on promises and commitments made to customers.
• Make deliveries as needed.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment inside and out; i.e., empty trash, sweep floors, clean bathroom(s), etc.
• Maintain current vendor catalogs, cross-references, price sheets, literature and specification data, and MSDS sheets
• Perform related jobs as required
