St. Louis Public Library’s Julia Davis Branch is hiring a Circulation Assistant for 20 hours per week in St. Louis, MO.

You will assist patrons with library cards, check-out and returns, and provide reference help at the desk and by phone. The role also involves shelving, minor displays, and opening/closing tasks. Ideal candidates are friendly, patient, and able to multitask while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with customer service experience.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail).

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with library cards, check-out, and returns.
• Provide reference help in person and by phone, locating items in the catalog.
• Assist customers with Library equipment and services.
• Restock and shelve materials and help with displays.
• Greet visitors and help open/close the branch.
