Job summary

Ace Retail Group, a division of Ace Hardware Corporation, is hiring a Cashier to handle register transactions and returns.

You will greet customers, balance the drawer, assist with merchandising, and follow store procedures. High School or GED required; cashier or customer service experience preferred. This position pays $10.50 per hour and contributes to a team that values integrity, excellence and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School or GED equivalent.
• Cashier experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Project a positive representation of Ace Retail Group.
• Greet customers entering and throughout the store.
• Thank customers by name, when possible, when they are leaving the store.
• Project a friendly, outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates.
• Clear customer checkout lines quickly and efficiently.
• Answer and monitor all calls and pages promptly, courteously and effectively.
• Communicate any problem or issue that requires management assistance.
• Continually build product knowledge base and assist customers with store layout and product location.
• Assist in pricing, stocking, marking and bagging of merchandise.
