Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Cashier to deliver efficient checkout service and create positive customer experiences in the store. The starting rate is at least $14.50 per hour, based on experience and the Union Pay Scale.

Flexible scheduling is available, including shifts on our three busiest days and the possibility to stay until 12:30am. Meijer offers career development programs to support advancement and ongoing learning.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Strong listening and communications skills, face-to-face and virtually.
• Willingness to learn or existing familiarity with job-specific technology.
• Problem-solving competence and eagerness to troubleshoot when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Complete transactions and handle money in all forms with accuracy.
• Utilize technology to complete tasks and transactions.
• Create ‘WOW’ moments and build trustful relationships with customers.
• Provide friendly, outgoing service in the checkout lane.
