Meijer is hiring a Cashier to deliver high-quality customer experiences at the checkout lane. You’ll learn Meijer programs and promotions to assist customers, create welcoming checkout moments, and process transactions accurately using our systems.

Ideal candidates are 18+, enjoy helping people, and are comfortable with technology. Prior retail or customer service is helpful but not required; you’ll work in a fast-paced, team-oriented store environment that values service and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Able to lift and stand for long periods.
• Comfort with using technology and checkout systems.
• Able to handle cash accurately.

Responsibilities

• Become knowledgeable on Meijer programs and promotions to best assist customers
• Create welcoming, memorable checkout experiences that leave a lasting impression
• Use Meijer systems to complete transactions efficiently and accurately
• Handle cash and payments responsibly, with attention to detail
• Communicate clearly and confidently, using friendly eye contact and positive body language
• Answer customer questions and help resolve concerns with care
• Build trust and connection that encourages customers to return
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
