Job description

LV Petroleum is at the forefront of the travel service industry, providing quality fuel and food options across our network of travel centers. We are currently seeking a lively and customer-oriented Cashiers & Porters to join our team and help create exceptional experiences for our guests.

WALK-IN INTERVIEWS: Held weekdays 11am - 4pm inside our travel center located in 1130 RWE JONES DR, GRAMBLING, LA

Cashier

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Interaction: Greet customers enthusiastically and provide assistance with their orders and inquiries.
• Transaction Handling: Accurately handle cash, credit, and debit transactions through the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Menu Familiarity: Maintain knowledge of menu items and promotions to assist customers effectively.
• Cleanliness and Organization: Keep the cashier area and dining space clean and organized for a pleasant customer experience.
• Team Support: Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service and a smooth workflow.
• Stock Management: Assist in monitoring inventory levels and help restock items as needed.

Porter

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness within the facility, focusing on restrooms, break areas, and entrances.
• Perform daily cleaning routines such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Assist in minor repairs and maintenance tasks, alerting management to any major concerns.
• Help with the setup and teardown of equipment for meetings and special events.
• Monitor and maintain janitorial supply levels, reporting needs to management.
• Provide exceptional customer service by being friendly and approachable.
• Adhere to safety and health regulations at all times.

Experience:

Previous cashier or customer service experience is preferred but not necessary.

Skills:

Basic math skills for handling cash and processing transactions.

Communication:

Strong verbal communication skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.

Reliability:

Must be dependable and willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Team Player:

Ability to work well in a team-oriented atmosphere while maintaining a positive attitude.
